$1 Million Service Guarantee

SafeGuard ID will spend up to $1,000,000 to make things right. In most cases your identity and your good name can be restored in a timely manner. You can rest comfortably knowing that your identity will be restored to a pre-event status.

Here's how it works:

Upon verification of a claim, SafeGuard ID will assign a Customer Service Agent that will work with you through the resolution of your case. You will receive access to our toll-free dedicated Resolution Hot Line, so you can be quickly routed to your Customer Service Agent.

SafeGuard ID then brings in a 3rd party recovery expert to assess the facts of your case and determine the type and nature of the identity theft that has occurred.

The Recovery Specialist and your assigned SafeGuard ID Customer Service Agent will:

  • Consult with you.
  • Explain your rights as a victim.
  • Educate you on the recovery process.
  • Obtain additional information that is necessary to proceed with the recovery process.
  • Provide step-by-step instructions necessary for your state jurisdiction and type of identity theft.
  • Obtain a limited Power of Attorney form that will allow the Recovery Specialist to act on your behalf.

You will need to:

  • Follow the step-by-step instructions provided to you.
  • Sign and notarize appropriate documents.
  • File a police report, in person, as required by law.
  • Send back the documents, via fax, to the Recovery Specialist.
Upon the closing of the case, SafeGuard ID will call you to ensure that your identity has been recovered to your full satisfaction.

What items or costs does the $1 Million Guarantee NOT cover?

Our $1 Million Guarantee does not cover: lost wages or business profits, loss of business or lost opportunities and direct out-of-pocket expenses like postage stamps, gas or mileage to go to local authorities, or any notary public fees, etc. Under the Terms and Conditions, no money will pass directly to any SafeGuard ID member.
